2017’s Most Dangerous Songs to Listen to While Driving

I have to admit, I go a little crazy in the car when Intergalactic by Beastie Boys comes on the radio. It’s easy for me to see how some songs can cause accidents. Sometimes you just can’t help but get lost in the beat, which is perhaps why a study was done on the most dangerous (and safest) songs to listen to while driving.
Confused.com analyzed Spotify’s most streamed songs to find the most dangerous and safest songs based on tempo and beat.
Dr. Simon Moore, a chartered psychologist, says, "Fast music can cause excitement and arousal that can lead people to concentrate more on the music than the road. In addition, a fast tempo can cause people to subconsciously speed up to match the beat of the song".
Confused.com also states: “According to Dr Moore, the optimum tempo of a song for safe driving should mimic the human heartbeat. The safest songs for the road are within 60-100 bpm and not too extreme in energy in either direction (not too much and not too little).”

Here are the lists:

Big For Your Boots – Stormzy
Castle on the Hill – Ed Sheeran
Pretty Girl – Remix – Maggie Lindemann
