Swedish House Mafia played its final show at Ultra Miami in 2013. The breakup of the super group soon followed, with fingers pointed at Mafia mate Steve Angello. Fans were devastated and have been hoping for a reunion ever since—and according to fans on Twitter, 2018 will be their year.
Fans have their reasons to be hopeful. Recent events have stirred quite a whirlwind of evidence that a reunion could happen. For example, Ultra Miami has announced their 20th
anniversary lineup and mentioned to “expect the unexpected.”
What’s more is Steve Angello just started following his former Mafia mates on social media, causing fans to go even more crazy with speculation. And better yet, Swedish House Mafia has deleted all of their tweets this morning, creating quite a stir among the Twitter community.
Ultra Miami’s festival flyer already lists Axwell and Ingrosso as headliners, so it is very possible that the trio could easily come together for a reunion performance. However, nothing has been confirmed and fans probably won’t find out until the show--but something seems to be definitely in the works.
