Thanks to YouTube, music videos are more popular now then they’ve ever been before. For this reason, music video producers like to create dramatic and elaborate videos that are sure to attract millions of viewers. Wouldn’t it be great if we could watch how these productions are made?
Sometimes we can. Long gone are the days of MTV’s Making the Video
, but stars will occasionally release behind the scenes videos for us right on YouTube.
This time, Selena Gomez, Marshmello, and music video director Colin Tilley put together a video that allows fans to catch a glimpse of how they made the video for their latest hit, “Wolves.”
Director Tilley says, “Security cams are watching [Gomez], and there’s this very voyeuristic feel to the entire piece where it feels like she’s being watched.”
Although the video showcases beautiful fashion and how fun Gomez is with the crew, it seems Marshmellow wasn’t actually there. Nonetheless, it’s a great production worth hearing and seeing. Check out the video below to go behind the scenes.
