YouTube channel launches record label

News : 13 Jan 2017 : Kadie Phillips
The YouTube channel Proximity, established around 5 years ago, currently has over 4 million subscribers and are looking at launching a record label in the coming months.
The Proximity channel, "one of the largest outlets for distributing EDM in the world", are hoping to be the first of their kind in launching a record label after success through their YT channel.

Blake Coppleson, the founder of Proximity said:

“To be able to move Proximity as a brand far beyond a YouTube channel is mind blowing to me. Music is the reason why I switched my career path to focusing 100% on Proximity, and I want to give back to you, the fans, the content creators, and the people who just want to listen to good music for continuing to support Proximity as a brand. To be able to control the music that goes on Proximity, as well as allowing content creators to use music in their videos for free without having their videos taken down due to copyright strikes, this is why I am moving in this direction!”

Be sure to keep your eye on their Proximity channel in the upcoming months for more news on the launch.
